Urinary Incontinence
Many women leak urine during daily activities and believe it is a normal outcome of aging, but it is not! There are many contributing factors including childbirth, hysterectomy, and pelvic floor muscle weakness.

TYPES OF INCONTINENCE

Stress-loss of urine with cough, laugh, sneeze, or exercise.

Urge-sudden uncontrollable urge to go to the bathroom made worse by hearing running water, or rushing to make it in time.

Mixed-a mix of urge and stress symptoms.

Overflow-bladder fills without the person feeling the need to urinate. The bladder overflows and leaks. This happens in medical conditions such as diabetes or paraplegia (paralysis).

Functional-a physical handicap or weakness (such as surgery) can make it difficult to get to the bathroom in time or manipulate buttons and/or zipper in time.
